Busy Tim

As we head to the two-day strike by BBC NUJ members "across the UK" against planned local radio cuts, BBC DG Tim Davie has a growing list of MPs to placate.  He's due to meet all ten Humber MPs, led by Emma Hardy, in Parliament at 2pm today. Two Swindon MPs have a letter awaiting answer, and last night 26 cross-party Yorkshire MPs wrote to Tim, saying there had been no proper public consultation on the plans. The National Federation of the Blind of the UK says it has the support of 200 voluntary organisations and 16 MPs through its social media campaign against the cuts.
