The premium feed of BBC News (world-facing) was back on our screens at 0900 British Summer Time leading with the news that Finland is about to join NATO. I say 'news'; it was headlined all yesterday. Finland applied to join last May, and Turkey ratified approval four days ago.
Second lead - the 'news' that Donald Trump has travelled to New York, ahead of a court appearance. There was a live appearance from correspondent Michelle Fleury, at 4.10am her time New York, followed by an interview with an academic in Berlin, matched with pictures of cars moving out of Mar-a-Lago from yesterday. Uniquely global.
