It seems BBC England's management structure is taking an extra two weeks to decide the fate of local radio presenters surplus to requirements - presumably it's not a task important enough to interfere with Easter holidays.
Meanwhile the radio industry's premier awards, the Arias, have nominated David Prever's Breakfast Club at Radio Oxford in the best speech breakfast category. David has already indicated he's leaving for a commercial role. At Radio Merseyside, Tony Snell narrates a Hillsborough special up for best documentary, whilst waiting to hear his future. And there's more...
Massive congrats to one of the nicest guys around @GaryAPhilipson

The competition is about as fierce as it gets this year. I can’t see us pulling it off this time but I’m incredibly proud to be on this list of great local radio presenters.

Huge thanks to our listeners who really make the Saturday late show.
Thankyou. Much love ❤️ https://t.co/bsapKPYLiY
Wild. As a true Yorkshire woman, this nomination vindicates my decision to finally buy my own pair of studio headphones. All the gear and some idea it seems.
