Slowly moving on

It's a long time since we mentioned Tortoise. 

Co-founder Katie Vanneck-Smith has dumped the glasses and is off to be CEO of Hearst UK from the start of December, where she'll look after Good Housekeeping, Country Living, Elle, Esquire and Harper's Bazaar. 

In October, she revealed to Press Gazette that the 'slow news' Tortoise operation was still losing money overall, but that the audio team was profitable within the first year, and now has 12 full-time staff working on podcasts.
