Today's second BBC Studios' appointment in the States is Jen Brown joins as SVP of Programming and Content Strategy, Global Digital News & Streaming. According to the news release, she will be responsible for "defining the wider content strategy for the BBC’s news and factual digital platforms outside of the UK." - something many thought the World Service did from its London base.
Jen (Emory University: Bachelor in International Studies and Journalism and Columbia University - Master's in Digital Media) joined NBC in 2009 and was looking after digital stuff for their Today show when Deborah Turness arrived. When Deborah left to return to ITN, Jen was NBC's Senior Vice President, Digital Enterprises.
