Forget Alvar Lidell, Moira Stuart, Brian Perkins, Zeb Soanes etc - the new audio voice of the digital BBC is Lee Macaulay. In a world where everything has to be done differently to be any good, he's part of a team re-writing BBC News 24/7 and reading it out in bite-sized chunks for the benefit of BBC Sounds.
Lee (BA Cardiff, Post Grad Dip Journalism Central Lancashire) has been the voice of BBC News on Alexa in various forms for a couple of years, away from his alma mater BBC Cumbria. The new service is called 'BBC Catch-up'.
