Extra effort

I see the BBC is advertising for a Head of Strategy on a six month contract. So presumably, they won't get to follow through on whatever they put in place.

What's driving this short term need ?  Could it be that, so far, The Strategy has been based on damage-limitation, fending off, since 2012, Jeremy Hunt, Sajid Javid, John Whittingdale, Karen Bradley, Matt Hancock, Jeremy Wright, Nicki Morgan, Oliver Dowden, Nadine Dorries and now Michelle Donelan ? Maybe they don't have a strategy ready to go should Keir find a way to engineer an election....
