Eventually, it will be appropriate to discuss who knew what when, with suggestions that at least the BBC knew the outcome was inevitable at the first announcement of 'medical supervision', perhaps more of a codeword than a procedure. And it would be interesting to know if the final announcement was anticipated at 6.00pm, so that the statement that close family were with The Queen could be credible. As it was, later revelations from Downing Street say the Prime Minister was told of the death at 4.30pm, a full three hours before Prince Harry made it to Balmoral.
