I wonder if the 1922 Committee would consider adopting some of Love Island's rules in their hunt for a new leader of the Conservative Party. That only takes eight weeks to come to a conclusion with 30-odd candidates, whereas the Tories are likely to have around 10.
The final two will be those who've traded support, dated and undated most effectively. Who will be the Davide and Ekin-su that Graham Brady takes to the full party membership ?
On a more serious note, there's now time for some decent analysis of where the Tories head next. Will the next leader be determined by the European Research Group ? Does the party really want to move further right ? Will the centre eat itself ?
And there's also time for some serious questions about the 'interim' government's tramlines. Do these 'rules' prevent a cut in VAT ? More help with electricity bills ?
