Let's hope all this Across The UK stuff works. Radio 1 has announced four permanent presenters to be based at MediaCityUK in Salford, in the shuffles behind the departure of Scott Mills (replacing Steve Wright at Radio 2).
Interestingly, Global have swooped for Chris Stark, Mills' co-host, to join Capital FM's breakfast crew, at at the microphone and as 'Creative Executive Producer' with a sideline in sports podcasts.
Meanwhile execs, school children and film students today piled into BBC Wales' new Cardiff HQ, in a bid to make it look busy for the Prince of Wales' visit. He got the full package: Chairman Richard Sharp, Director General Tim Davie, Director of Nations Rhodri Talfan Davies and Rhuanedd Richards, Director, BBC Cymru Wales. Rhuannedd used to be CEO of Plaid Cymru, who generally now shuffle their feet when you ask them about the Monarchy. She may not have raised the issue.
Tony Livesey doing a long shift on R5 Drive.
