The BBC usually gets into trouble with the Mail for Wimbledon tickets that find their way to senior staff. This year, invitations to the Royal Box were said to "reflect the Club's desire to recognise people who work towards making the world a better place".
I can only find two with BBC staff cards deemed to meet the criteria: Clive Myrie and chairman Richard Sharp. Others with BBC connections: Alexander Armstrong and Richard Osman; Rose Ayling-Ellis and Anton Du Beke; Michael Parkinson and David Dimbleby.
