After some engagement with the Office of the Information Commissioner, the BBC says it does have information about licence fee evasion by nation for the past five years - and estimates that more than 12 households in every 100 in Scotland were not not paying up in 2019/20. Best behaved - the Welsh, at just under 6 households per 100.
The BBC says it's still calculating estimates of evasion for the most recent year. Whilst evasion seems to be rising in Scotland, the BBC's licence fee enforcers seem to be gradually bringing fewer cases to court there.
