Kalpna Patel-Knight, a couple of weeks from her 49th birthday, is the new Entertainment boss in BBC Content.
Kalpna (Sir Christopher Hatton Academy, Wellingborough and BA Sociology Goldsmiths) seems to have had two years of BBC training straight from college, then there's a gap in the cv before she appears on the production credits of a 2010 Bradley Walsh vehicle, Odd One In. That's followed by production of Surprise Surprise, then a move to Lime TV for Celebs Go Dating. At 'Possessed' she brings us 5 Gold Rings, with Philip Schofield, and Cash Trapped with, er, Bradley Walsh.
Back at the BBC as a commissioner, Kalpna minds The Greatest Dancer, The Wheel, Catchpoint, the return of Blankety Blank with Bradley Walsh, and Take Off with, er, Bradley and Holly. She currently chairs the BBC's Creative Diversity and Inclusion panel.
