Usually, when you engage headhunters, you want them to find candidates you might not have thought of yourself.  New DCMS minister and Bright-If-a Bit-Pushy Young Thing, Lord Parkinson of Whitley Bay, 38 (Park House School and Emmanuel, Cambridge) has revealed that people who tried last time round to secure the top job at Ofcom, can have another go. Lord 'Ed' Vaizey has already asked for the contact details for Saxton Bampfylde, and one presumes Paul Dacre will have another go - and if they made the shortlist last time, why should they get another tilt at the post ? Saxton Bampfylde might get the easiest finder's fee yet.
