He doesn't yet mention it on his social media profiles, but Nick Pollard, 70, is working as editorial director at GB News on a temporary basis, as they hunt for a replacement for John McAndrew.

Mr Pollard's other recent interests include on/off work as an advisor to CGTN Europe, the China Global Television Network. He first joined them in December 2018, from previous employment as Chair of the Ofcom Content Board; he left in September 2019, and is believed to have rejoined in May 2020. Ofcom revoked CGTN's licence in February 2021.
CGTN re-started broadcasts to the UK on Friday - a move apparently following warmer words about China by man-of-the-moment Dominic Raab.
- Not wishing to make this post too spidery, but Sir Robbie Gibb has always had warm words for Dominic Raab. He's had fewer about tv journalist Jess Brammar - the Mail on Sunday believes BBC News is about to go ahead and appoint her to look after 24-hour news channels, and uses more column inches to rehearse the arguments why she shouldn't get the job.
