The Mail On Sunday attack on Jess Brammar and her suitability to re-join the BBC as an executive editor in charges of tv news channels prompted Newsnight's Policy Editor Lewis Goodall to tweet thus..

For your information I’ve been asked by BBC management to delete the tweet with regards to the Mail’s articles about Jess Brammar as they say it’s an internal matter for the BBC.

For context, Jess's principal opponent in this matter is BBC non-executive Sir Robbie Gibb, who tweeted this back in August 2020
