One hopes Sir Robbie Gibb is devoting enough time to his role as non-executive at the BBC with special responsibility for Ing-ger-land. The last published minutes of the BBC Board's England Sub-committee are from May, and one feels sure Sir Robbie would have shared his trenchant views about local radio, regional political optouts and much more with BBC staff by now.
We are also five weeks after the news that Jess Brammar was a front-runner for a top BBC News gig, with leaks that Sir Robbie had counselled his former managers against such an appointment. Ms Brammar has deleted most of her previous posts on various social media accounts. Have the decks been sufficiently cleared to move forward ?
