Rooney

Adeline Evelyn Margaret Ramage Rooney is back with the BBC.

Adeline, 49, went to Arbroath Academy and then trained as a soprano with the Royal Scottish  Academy of Music and Drama. In her final year, 1997 she featured in a recital of French songs on Radio 3 accompanied by Gerald Martin Moore, from Studio 1 Edinburgh.  There's then a gap in her Linkedin cv til 2001, where she emerges as a freelance tv director and producer, majoring on reality shows like How To Look Good Naked, The Woman Swamped by Her Own Skin and Masterchef.

She brought The Sex Education Show to Channel 4, then joined the network's commissioning team. A key move was developing The F Word featuring Gordon Ramsay. In 2010 she moved to Los Angeles, to help break Ramsay on US TV through their version of Masterchef.

Last year she moved from the canyons of Topanga back to Scotland, and last week was appointed Creative Director for BBC Studios Factual and Entertainment Shows based in Glasgow, where she's telling chums she "hiring a crack team".
