A solid list of redundancies at BBC Scotland, lead by Gordon Brewer (St Modan's High and BA Edinburgh, incomplete Ph D). He started in journalism at the Shetland Times, and has been through jobs at BBC Business, Newsnight, the Tokyo bureau and most roles in Scotland, ending up presenting the Saturday edition of Good Morning Scotland. 

Also leaving - Gordon's current co-host, Isabel Fraser, who's also fronted Newsnight Scotland; Bill Whiteford (Aberdeen Grammar and BA Edinburgh) producer-turned-presenter of Radio Scotland's Newsdrive; Home Affairs correspondent Reevel Alderson; Gillian Marles, another GMS stalwart with a business bent; muso and GMS reporter David Allison; and Kenneth MacDonald, Science Correspondent "reporting from the Canada of the British Isles."
