The dash for the redundancy exit at the BBC could see staff trampled in the rush in the next 19 days. The legislation to implement the £95k cap on exit payments (down from £150k) in the public sector has completed the Parliamentary process and was signed into law on Wednesday, meaning the cap comes into force on 4 November 2020.
There's no sign yet of accompanying Treasury guidance on the regulations, and thus no news on whether deals struck for up to £150k have to be fully completed before 4th November.
