The BBC's Annual Report 2019/20 majors on surveys about what people think about the BBC. This is not always as the BBC would want - e.g. only 5 out of 10 think the BBC is good value for money. But on news, the figures, extraordinarily, are going in the right direction. 51% cited the BBC as the place to turn for impartial news, compared with 44% the year before; 62% said the BBC was best for news you trust, compared with 51% last time; and 62% said the BBC was the best for accurate news, compared with 53% in 2018/19.
