Which BBC departments are under-performing when it comes to diversity targets ?  Nations & Regions have only 5.9% of staff from a BAME background - the target is 15%. Only 4.4% of the N&R leadership team are BAME - target 15%. 

Radio & Education, now subsumed into Content, hits 11.9% of all staff declaring themselves BAME; it moves 13% in the leadership team. 

By gender, Bob Shennan's new Managing Director Group is running away with the leadership challenge - 63.7 female. Corporate Policy and External Affairs isn't far behind, on 59.3%.

Across all staff - 21,792 in this HR table - 15,586 declare themselves as heterosexual/straight. 

On the religious front, of the same 21,792 staff, 6,036 declare themselves Christian, 8,131 say they have no specific religion, 3,653 are atheists, and 1,919 decided to keep things to themselves. 

Socio-economically, BBC News and Current Affairs heads the list for percentage of staff from an independent or fee-paying school, at 22.7%. That figure moves to 34% in the leadership team.
