It looks as though James Purnell has had his little chat with Tim and Charlotte and decided to stay, at least for the time being.
James has been BBC Director of Radio & Education since 2016. His status on the BBC's webpages about senior staff is unchanged, but on his Twitter bio, he's now billed as Director, BBC Audio. I wonder if Graham Ellis, titled Controller, BBC Audio since the end of June, will have to change his handle - or did they both see this coming ? Tim Davie was appointed 5th June....
