The endlessly fascinating world of BBC podcasts: I grumbled yesterday about the reality-tv-production line of BBC Sounds, and the space given to advertising 'celebrity' audio content at key BBC1 junctions.
I left out the new podcast from Danny Dyer and his daughter Dani, thinking that, because it was only available on Spotify, it was straightforward commercial exploitation. Now it turns out it's a BBC Studios co-production with Pod Almighty. (Pod Almighty is run by Lex Lutzus, who co-produced the Danny Dyer film, "Age of Heroes" in 2011.)
Presumably, under James Purnell's open door strategy for BBC Sounds, "Sorted with the Dyers", will soon appear on his platform.
