Lord Hall says there'll be four women in the BBC top ten star salaries for 2019/20, when the Annual Report is finally published.
I'm guessing they'll be headed by Zoe Ball for the Radio 2 Breakfast Show (her wodge for Strictly It Takes Two comes from BBC Studios, and is not disclosed). Claudia Winkleman is also a good bet to hold her place in the Top 10. In third place, I'm guessing will be Vanessa Feltz - extraordinarily well-paid for a combination of early-doors Radio 2 and Radio London breakfast/phone-in, a station with a weekly reach of 450k.
Last year's fourth place woman was Lauren Laverne, on between £305k and £310k in 2018/19, but not in the top ten. Last year's 10th place was £355k - has the base line moved enough to put her in the top ten, is it a new name ? Samira Ahmed, doing Newswatch and Radio 4's Front Row ?
