Will Glasgow City Council hold firm and reject plans for yet another hotel at Pacific Quay ? It's been over a year since a 150-bed Holiday Inn was proposed for the quayside between STV and the BBC Scotland HQ.
Council officers have recommended rejection, because the land should be limited to business or industrial premises; that there's risk of flooding, and the proposed hotel obscures views of the Grade A listed former pumping station. The councillors have now deferred a decision, calling for a new public presentation of the plans.
