Tough love at ABC and BBC Studios, where the Bruce-Forsyth-figure of Dancing With The Stars, Tom Bergeron has been axed after 15 years as host. His current sidekick, Erin Andrews (cf Tess Daly) is also going, after six years at his side.
He got told yesterday; apparently the show is going in "a new creative direction", but, like Strictly, there's no dates set for the 2020 series, which may have to resort to line dancing, clog dancing, etc in order to maintain distances. And you'll probably have to guess at the contestants' identities behind their masks. In fact, I could see all that working....
