Culturally, the Imagine lockdown special on the Kanneh-Mason family and friends at home in Nottingham seems to have been a great success, with plenty of Twitter calls welcoming back classical music on Sunday evenings. I'll try to find out the ratings as soon as possible.
There seem to have been elements that may have challenged lockdown rules. The family were blessed with three Bechsteins on loan; somebody set up the microphones and remote cameras.
The most locked-down contributor was our interlocutor, Alan Yentob. The exposed chimney breast looked like a last-century design. Balancing his laptop on a wine box helped with the homemade look. But was he in Notting Hill or Somerset ? The Royal Borough of Kensington is very clear: "You must not burn any wood on an open fire, although a small amount of kindling or timber wood can be used to light the fire." Let's hope he was in Somerset.
