Very strong

The BBC has assembled some rufty-tufty firebrands to lead on podcast development for the all-new Audio production division.

It will be headed by Clare McGinn, who's been with the BBC for 28 years. She has a degree in English literature from the Universities of East Anglia and Kansas. Although there was a fanfare for her appointment yesterday, it says on Linkedin that she's been doing the job since January.

Alongside her will be James Cook, previously BBC Arts and Poetry Editor, who has a brave Twitter profile: "All my opinions are official BBC policy. ALL of them."  Suspect that might change on Monday.

Also joining the team: Elliott Prince, previously producer of R4's Tweet of the Day.
