Pavement premium
Outside space is at a premium in W1 ahead of July 4th. The Riding House Cafe, much favoured by BBC execs, is trying to get a drinks licence for just 8 tables, each with two chairs in place, along their narrow, shady bit of Great Titchfield Street pavement. A little lacking in the privacy sought by middle-ranking Beeboids.
