It's hard to tell if it's cause and effect, but, since the announcement that former BBC News boss Richard Sambrook is reviewing their social media policy, lead presenter Huw Edwards has made his Instagram account private. This keeps photos of the silverback news hunk and his exercise and fashion choices circulating amongst an approved group, now standing at 29,000.
He's still on Twitter, with 96,000 followers.
