Radio presenters starting new shows always like to throw out a quote or two that might get some press coverage. Alexander Armstrong, taking over mornings on Classic FM, tells The Telegraph: "Dominic Cummings looked like Sharon Stone when we were at school".
Armstrong was a year above Dom, and, in 1988, while Armstrong was winning a debate on the motion "Faith is not enough" at The Heretics Society, Dominic had to record a "disappointing season" for the Chess Club. Perhaps his leadership skills were not fully developed.
Dominic was in Poole House, and, in his early years, was a member of a trio which won fourth place in a debating competition for schools in the North East. In his final year, he was praised for his performances with the bat in the school's cricket 2nd XI.
