Aled, play Radio 1

As we predicted three months ago, Aled Hadyn-Jones has been duly elevated to be Head of Radio 1.

Jones, 43, (Ysgol Gyfun Penweddig, Aberystwyth and BTEC Media Studies, Swansea College). He started as a producer at the network in 1998, after a spell with Radio Ceredigion. Some early grooviness may have worn off - he's already updated his Linkedin profile.
