Extension ?

Here's a thought for Number 10. Now we have Tim Davie as DG, how's about a little stability at the top pf the BBC ?  Chairman Sir David Clementi's term is supposed to be 'up' on February 15th 2021, and, if he's to go, recruitment ought to start in September. 

There's nothing to stop him getting an extension. Two years would see him through to the mid-term Charter Review, due in the spring of 2022; he'd be 74.
