Gold Club

I'm sure it won't be a drawback, but new BBC hire Patricia Hidalgo Reina will have one of the strongest Spanish accents in MediaCityUK, Salford when she arrives in post as Director of BBC Children's and Education, reporting to James Purnell.

Patricia went to Marymount International School in Kingston, then picked up a degree in graphic design from Middlesex University.  Then, there's a 15 year gap in her CV before she joins pioneer streamer WDTV as a Senior On-Air Manager. From there she moved to work on programming Disney in Italy, then running programming for Disney TV channels across EMEA. A switch to Warner  EMEA, still in London, came in 2013.

On Twitter, she occasionally gets unhappy with BA and Iberia, but then, she is a BA Gold Executive Club Member....
