Hand to mouth

The Daily Express has pointed out that the TV Licence collection operation, run by Capita, is barely limping along.

The message on their website reads: "We’re sorry but due to the impact of Coronavirus our contact centres are currently closed. Unfortunately, this means we can’t respond to your calls or emails. We appreciate this comes at a very challenging time for many people. Please check our help and advice page, including ways you can manage your licence online."

This is all well and good for those who pay by direct debit, etc, but I suspect, what with the Government setting the decriminalisation hare running ("whack the BBC", Pt 1) alongside weaker enforcement, monthly income for Auntie is far from stable.
