Razor-sharp Nick Robinson used comments in the Express this morning to put a question to Damian Collins MP, suggesting that he'd lost the vote to remain as chairman of the Culture Select Committee because he wasn't tough enough on the BBC.
Perhaps Nick's forgotten that Dominic Cummings was found to be in contempt of Parliament for failing to attend a Culture Select Committee hearing into disinformation. And that Damian Collins subsequently mused whether such offenders should be deemed unfit for public office.
That same inquiry into disinformation said interesting things about Cambridge Analytica, and other data physicists, and the Vote Leave campaign (director Dominic Cummings) and slightly probed Russian influence in UK politics (Mr Cummings spent three blameless years in Russia). It was concerned about political content on Facebook (how much did the Conservative election campaign spend with them last year ?).
