(Which will last longer as a feature of the UK media landscape - Baroness Morgan, or the DCMS ?)
Those deciding the odds on BBC DG candidates may be interested in the latest release of ministerial meetings, for July to September last year. In September alone, they record that Nicky Morgan met Sir David Clementi and Lord Hall of the BBC, then Alex Mahon of C4, and Dame Carolyn McCall of ITV. At the Tory party conference she had a little catchup with BBC News executives Gavin Allen and Kamal Ahmed. She also had a chat with the not-entirely pro-BBC News Media Association.
In terms of her own cultural interests, she's declared three free tickets to the Edinburgh Festival, seats for Oklahoma at Chichester, King John at the RSC, and a perch at a Victoria Beckham fashion show. There was a dinner with The Observer, and breakfast with The Sunday Times.
