On the 27th September, the full Executive, presumably with Lord Hall in the chair, endorsed the Executive Complaints ruling (presumably having read it), as reported by the BBC News' Editorial Director, Kamal Ahmed.
BBC Executive Committee: “The very limited finding was not about Naga’s comments on racism. That part of the complaint was rejected.— Kamal Ahmed (@bbckamal) September 27, 2019
“Diversity matters hugely. The success of the BBC is built on the quality and diversity of our people. That is not negotiable.”
On September 30th, Lord Hall overruled the Executive's endorsement of the finding, presumably having re-read the finding.
Tony Hall: "In this instance, I don’t think Naga’s words were sufficient to merit a partial uphold of the complaint around the comments she made. There was never any sanction against Naga and I hope this step makes that absolutely clear." @BBCNaga @BBCNews— Kamal Ahmed (@bbckamal) September 30, 2019
