BBC Director of Content Charlotte Moore is treating Strictly like Wimbledon this year. Strictly It Takes Two moves from half-an-hour at 1830 on BBC2, to 45 minutes at 1715 on BBC1. A full sixty editions stretch in front of hosts Zoe Ball and Rylan Clark-Neal. Pointless moves earlier - which removes it, probably happily, from direct competition with Bradley Walsh's Chase.
The marathon live launch show - two hours 20 minutes - was down on 2018 in the overnights, 7.7m compared with 8.9m. It may have suffered because it started an hour later than a year ago.
