While we wait for judgement from The Witchfinders of Ofcom on BBC news and current affairs output across tv radio and online, a little tour of other BBC offerings...
Remember the BBC saying in 2016 it would close down its huge catalogue of recipes and move everything to the commercial brand, BBC Good Food ? BBC Food still flourishes, skimping by on a mere 13,000 recipes, up from 11,000 in 2016.
Remember the BBC closing down iWonder site, full of short videos 'to feed your curiosity' ? Now we have BBC Ideas 'for curious minds'. I note two recent breakthrough videos, "Why you're tying your shoelaces all wrong', posted in January and now up to 428k views, and the game-changing "Are you going to the toilet wrong ?", up to 350k views in just three days.
Remember the BBC promising to close down Newsbeat as a separate website and app ? It lives on within BBC News, offering items such as "Ever seen an otter do the scream ?" and "McFly is forever: the boyband is back".
