The Premier League has switched headhunters, in its so far prolonged and unsuccessful hunt for a new CEO to succeed Richard Scudamore.

Spencer Stuart, who brought forwards failed attempts to secure broadcasting executives Susanna Dinnage and Tim Davie, have been dropped, and Russell Reynolds (director Lord Patten) are having another go. Richard Masters, the Premier League’s managing director, is now acting CEO.
