Broadcast tells us that the radio indies group, Audio UK, may be on the verge of a deal with BBC Sounds. Lord knows how James Purnell has worked out monetisation.
Audio UK has had a change of chair. Phil Critchlow has stood down, and is replaced by Kellie While, head creative at 7Digital. She joined the company in 2015, but her roots are in folk-singing. She joined The Albion Band at 19, and brought out a solo album in 2001, called "Tenacious". The Sydney Morning Herald was impressed: "Surely the greatest voice to emerge from the English folk scene since Sandy Denny".
Below, Kellie from 2011, singing with mum Chris - an unlikely Motown cover for Hitchin Folk Club.
