New BBC money man Glyn Isherwood has announced the last free bus between Broadcasting House and Television Centre will run on Friday 28th June.
The service was re-tendered in May last year, with the BBC expecting to pay upwards of £3m for a five year contract, extendable by two years. So Glyn may have to dosh up to extricate himself from the deal. He's also promising staff that there will be a courier service for goods and equipment; an entitlement to claim for travel when not commuting; and that staff with mobility issues or "other identified needs" will be able to use taxis.
