It's 52 days since the ad for Controller Radio 4 closed.
Historically, when a BBC appointment takes this long, there are some standard reasons.
1. They've found someone they like, but he or she doesn't like the money.
2. They haven't found someone the DG likes, and are trying again.
I think this time there maybe additional issues, like guarantees that running R4 stays above BBC Sounds in both salary and status....
