Whilst there's been some light shone on cuts at Radio 3 and 4, it's also happening at 5Live.

Station-original John Inverdale has left; there will doubtless be cheaper ways of presenting the sporting events that he has been hosting in recent years. Late night presenter Phil Williams leaves in May; the Monday-to-Wednesday-or-Thursday slot goes to Sarah Brett. Sarah is presumably on a long-ish contract with the station, but has this year been dropped a co-presenter of the afternoons.

This month, her former partner Nihal has been joined by a number of 'celebrity' co-hosts, including former Pussycat Doll Kimberly Wyatt and Love Island's Amber Davies (look away now, Professor Tim Luckhurst and the Radio Centre). One hopes they are getting paid for this work experience.
