A little slow on this one, but still worth noting. Richard Dawkins, who for the last two years has been keeping BBC Content on the rails as Chief Operating Officer (and doggedly put old stagers out to tender) is joining Bauer Media to drive more money from its burgeoning radio portfolio. Richard spent a year or so with them in 2007/8, when they were merging EMAP and Bauer, and clearly they've offered more than his current £195k.
Might he have been a contender for Group MD ? We'll never know. Applications for this misshapen-potato-of-a-job close on Monday. Will Lord Hall find the soul-mate he seeks ?
