Fran and Jimmy have come up with a new 'product', in the competitive world of re-invention - BBC Briefing. The Director of News and Director of Radio and Education are piloting 'in-depth and evergreen' briefing material on Housing, Energy and Immigration, largely online, but with related broadcast material.
There's a contract with MAP TV - that's Michael Attwell, of Chipping Norton, who also made House Doctor, and some involvement from the Controller of World Service English (heaven forfend there's any reliance on Foreign Office funding, eh ?). It's expected to take a full year to deliver just three briefings
