Funny what the BBC Press Office chooses to share on RAJAR audience figures day.

They're pleased to tell you that Radio 6Music's weekly reach is up 10% year on year. They also detail record figures for a number of dayparts - including Steve Lamacq 1600-1900, up from 1.01m last year to 1.2m.

Spookily there's no such daypart detail for Radio 2, where there's interest in the performance of the new Jo and Simon show, launched halfway through the reporting period.

According to someone who's seen the figures, Radio 2 is down just 20,000 between 1700 and 2000 year-on-year - about the same number as those signing petitions against the new format.
