BBC Studios CEO Tim Davie assured MPs this week that letting AMC Networks run BBC America was a good deal.
Yesterday AMC boss Josh Sapan saw his annual pay package cut, albeit slightly, from $30.49m to $29.6m. Chief Operating Officer Edward Carroll took a bigger hit - down from $22.2m to $10.25m. Who'd have thought the BBC could find a partner with even bigger management overheads ?
